Last Saturday we had nothing to do so we decided to visit a pool we'd never been to before. Troy and I both took rides on the straight one and the girls stuck to the curvy one, which was a much slower experience. Towards the end of the afternoon, Maelyn decided she was going to ride on the fast slide. We were unsure it was even a good idea to let her because we'd both been on it several times and it took our breath away on the way down. But in the end, she was up the stairs and I was extrememly nervous sitting at the bottom, fearing her reaction when she realized how far down that drop was. The whole way down, her mouth was WIDE OPEN in silent scream mode! She was a bit disoriented when she came up for air, but she was happy and truly proud of herself. We convinced her to try it one more time so we could take a video and she was less pleased at the second experience so we decided to call it good for the day. Unfortunately I can't get that video to upload to the blog so you'll have to just imagine what it looked like for her to be flying down!!
