In July Maelyn turned 8. We celebrated with a roller skating party with some friends. She loved the music, skating and the sock hop afterwards. Unfortunately it was so dark in there and everyone was moving, all my pictures are blurry. But we all had a blast skating (even Rylen until he landed on his rear-end and decided it was time to quit) and being together to celebrate Maelyn.
After skating we enjoyed some cake and gifts. Then we headed out to Starlight for The Sound of Music, which Maelyn has specifically requested for her birthday. Troy said he'd always been successful at avoiding TSOM in the past, but even he enjoyed it.
Happy Birthday Maelyn. You amaze us each year with your growing personality and we love you so much.
