Recently we decided to get rid of Maelyn's pacifier. We'd reduced her use to naps and bedtime, but finally the time came to go cold turkey. Maelyn gathered up her pacifiers, put them in the envelope and took them down to the mailbox to send to the Pacifier Fairy. She even got a phone call from the Paci Fairy telling her how proud she was of Maelyn to give her pacis to other little babies who needed them.
The next morning, Maelyn enjoyed finding her reward from the Paci Fairy at the front door. Paci Fairy brought her a new Dora video and some stickers! What a nice surprise after a tearful bedtime the night before.

I love this idea- I had heard of this before but didn't know it'd work like this! Congrats!!:-)
It actually worked well for me (the paci was my crutch too!) but now we don't have any in the house to be tempted by! Naptime is rougher than bedtime, but she's doing really well :)
