On Friday night we decided to have a Family Game Night. Everyone received good games for Christmas that we hadn't enjoyed yet, so we got a few out and had a great time. Troy and I played Backwords: which was an extremely difficult word game for us at first. After we got the hang of it, we really had a good time and Tristyn was our timekeeper. I'll leave you in suspense about who won?! Then we brought out Hungry Hungry Hippo for everyone to play. Maelyn for sure resembles Daddy in her competitive nature. She was so intense during this game, trying to get smiling pictures had to wait until she was done "feeding" her Hippo. The fourth round, she just started using her own hands to secure the little marbles. Next was a Go Fish game where everyone brought our their competitive spirit, followed by a card game Daddy taught us how to play. Tristyn happens to be a little card shark, but her poker face needs some work..... It was hard to switch gears to bedtime, but everyone was exhausted enough not to care too much. I've included a hysterical video clip of Maelyn playing Hippos. We noticed that when her Hippo was "eating" she would mimic the opening and closing of her own mouth while she manipulated her Hippo.
