Early Saturday morning around the breakfast table, my husband had the brillant idea of heading out to the zoo for the day. We had some half-off passes and the weather was a wonderful 75 degrees, so off we went to see some animals. Riding the tram to Africa saved us some walking...everything there is so spread out! After our packed lunch picnic, we hopped the train to Australia where we hung out for awhile, seeing everything. Then we headed to the playground, big treehouse and the carousel. Finally we caught the sea lion show before closing time and headed home, exhausted! Since everyone knows what the various animals look like, I'm just posting our favorite pictures from the day.
