2008 Christmas Letter

It seems in our family that each new year passes quicker than the one previous. This year has been no exception. Our family has been extremely blessed, busy, and thankful for God's faithfulness and mercy each new day.

Our year passed by in a blur, with swimming lessons for both the girls, several trips to Table Rock Lake, Kaeb Kamping in MO, 2 wedding trips, an anniversary trip to San Diego, and many family outings around our area.

Troy continues to enjoy his job at Honeywell FM&T. He is involved in many different projects and stays busy with travel throughout the year. During the week he also attends a men's bible study at church, teaches the six grade boys Sunday school class, mentors two 8 year old boys one evening a week, and is coaching Tristyn's 1st grade girls basketball team.

Amity stays around home during the days, spends time with Maelyn and loves being available to her girls. She participates in MOPs at church, enjoys playdates with other moms, loves sneaking time away to read and continues to keep our home in working order.

Tristyn is in the first grade this year. She really enjoys her teacher and her classmates. She is starting basketball and attends church during the week to participate in their youth ministry programs. She is expressing a true knowledge of faith in Christ and we're very humbled, but excited to help disciple her in the right direction. Tristyn has also started Girl Scouts and is now a Brownie. She really enjoys the different activities they participate in and loves to attend her meetings. She'll turn 7 on December 30th, so we're looking forward to another end of the year birthday for her!

Maelyn is becoming quite the character at 2 1/2. Some days are bright and happy while others leave Mommy calling Daddy to ask for "help". She has a very independent spirit and exploring personality. She loves to read, visit the library, play with her many babies and give directions to anyone who'll listen! Maelyn has incredible determination in everything she does and we're already aware that she may be our handful child in the years to come.
As a family we've really enjoyed this year of 2008, with all of the happiness and joy that Christ has to offer us. Our health continues to be good and our needs are always met, as we're promised from our Almighty Father. The Kaeb family hopes you're having a wonderful Christmas season and a blessed New Year.

Love
Troy, Amity, Tristyn & Maelyn
