Soggy Weekend

After a mild flood in our basement, we are considering the mess a mixed blessing. We have way too much junk stored down there along with items we'd like to hang on to for awhile. It was in dire need of some organization and purging of things we no longer need or use. There was minimal damage, we are so thankful for that and the stuff that was ruined fell into the junk category anyway. Troy dove (literally) into the sump pump flood, replaced the pump and the pipe that broke, and continues to work steady downstairs to clear out, and dry out, the area. I'm so glad for a work-till-it's-done husband...he is amazing! I had my doubts about the self-repairs and he once again proved me wrong and left me confident in his abilities. Now we are focusing on moving the furniture and storage, while clearing and re-organizing everything. God was truly in control....allowing this to happen on a Saturday, at a time during the day when we both arrived home shortly after the water began to flood. On a positive note, we are finding some great items we've forgotten about (a loaded giftcard from our wedding!!!) and some that bring back great memories for our family!
