Let's Go Fly A Kite

Tristyn's class had a kite flying party this week. Everyone brought kites to school and they were each able to fly them. Maelyn and I decided to head over for all the fun. When we got there, Tristyn's kite was just flowing up so nice and high...she was so proud of her abilities on her first time in flight! Of course Maelyn wanted to try it as well and she was so happy to join into the party. Eventually some bickering broke out over who's turn it was and how long the turns should last. Our kite stayed up for quite awhile until some rowdy boys ran into our twine and snapped it off. After some careful patching and retying...we were back in the air. Unfortunately the ground was soaking wet after all the rain and just about everyone had wet spots and muddy, grassy feet! But we had a great time.
